We are looking to add an Accountant to join our Creative Risk Solutions team in Waukee, IA. This role will support accounting functions in accordance with the objectives and procedures set forth by our Management Team.

Here’s just a bit of what you’d do:

• Handle third-party administrator accounting functions, including but not limited to:
  • Reconcile claim payment reports and transactions within claims management system.
  • Reconcile claim payments to bank statements.
  • Reconcile bank statements.
  • Investigate and resolve any reconciling items/discrepancies identified.
  • Monitor and review customer escrow funding accounts.
  • Assist and monitor prefunded claims payments.
  • Prepare company billings and assist with collections.
  • Assist with onboarding of new clients/customers.
  • Assist with other projects as directed by Supervisor/President.

You’d also need to be equipped with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to do the job, including, but not limited to:

• Ability to work with detail, follow directions and maintain a high level of accuracy.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft products, accounting and claims management systems.
• Ability to communicate well with persons at all levels of authority both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to learn and utilize advance technology associated with job functions.
• Ability to learn and utilize advance technology associated with job functions.
• Capable of exercising discretion in confidential matters and use independent judgement.
• Must be knowledgeable of and comply with our Client Privacy Policy, HIPAA regulations and E&O procedures and policies.

And let’s not forget the qualifications for the position:

• Education: High school degree required; college degree preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 1-3 years accounting experience preferably in insurance agency environment.
